Drs. Bernard, Eimer and Morgan join our hunger fighting team as the title sponsor for our 1st annual 5K Run/Walk.  The race will take place on September 22, 2013 on the Stark Park’s Middle Branch Trail.  Registration will take place on the grounds at Gervasi Vineyard and finish with an awards ceremony and Family Finish Line Festival on the  Villa Grande lawn at Gervasi.

Race Location: Beginning on 55th, the racers will then run the rest of the race on the Stark Parks Middle Branch Trail

Registration: 7:30am on race day @ Gervasi

Start: 9:00am

Course:  Stark Park’s Middle Branch Trail (Slightly hilly)

Awards Ceremony/Festival: 9:30am

All proceeds directly impact the hungry in Stark County.  The Stark County Hunger Task Force provides free groceries to 25,000 residents each month.

Get together a foursome or sign up as a single, double or threesome, and join us on the hills course for the third annual outing teeing off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

The event includes coffee and doughnuts, a hot dog at the turn, Old Carolina BBQ dinner, skills contests, Brand NEW car by Waikem hole-in-one shot, 50/50 drawing, other prizes and a silent auction, all for $65 a golfer, $250 for a foursome or $25 for the dinner and silent auction only.

Join the Stark County Hunger Task Force in celebrating our hunger fighters in Stark County.  The gala will commence at 6:00pm with our keynote speaker at 6:30pm followed by awards and then dinner.  The event is free and open to the public.  Donations will be accepted.  Let’s fight hunger together!

After much anticipation, the Board and Staff of Stark County Hunger Task Force, Inc. are delighted to welcome Amy Weisbrod as the Executive Director of the leading anti-hunger organization of Stark County.

Weisbrod joins the local hunger fight from The Canton Chapter of The Foundation for Community Betterment. There she served as Chairperson since 2007.

The selection committee met several people, all of whom brought great qualities to the table. In the end, Weisbrod showed the presentation skills, dynamic personality, creativity, community connections and local grant experience that this position requires on a regular basis.

Board and Staff alike look forward to working under the guidance and leadership of Weisbrod. She will begin her new journey in our community on May 29th.
